Dr. Kina Khatri MD, IFMCP
Dr. Kina Khatri passionately believes in the body’s ability to heal itself when it is given the proper environment to thrive. She is committed to forming therapeutic partnerships with her patients that will help them make healing happen. Working together with the patient, Dr. Khatri will create personalized treatment plans to set her patients up for success on their journey to wellness.

Dr. Khatri was a practicing anesthesiologist in the DFW area for 7 years. She attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham and graduated with honors. In addition to being a full time college student Dr. Khatri concurrently completed her paramedic training. She matriculated through the University of Alabama School of Medicine and had the rare honor of being awarded numerous medical scholarships. She was in the top 3 people of her medical school class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Her Anesthesiology residency was completed at the highly competitive Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Subsequently she pursued fellowship training at the University of Illinois in Chicago in Acute Pain Management and Regional (nerve block) Anesthesia. Dr. Khatri is a board certified Anesthesiologist.

The biggest achievement in Dr. Khatri’s medical career has been the completion of her Institute for Functional Medicine training. In Dr. Khatri’s opinion the systems biology, root cause approach laid out in Functional Medicine has become the key to unlocking sustained wellness and maintaining a long health span. Holistic health has been an important foundation in Dr. Khatri’s life, she spent three months learning yoga and meditation in India.

Zarana Parekh RDN, CLT, LD
Zarana’s inclination towards the field of nutrition started at an early age, growing up in India where food not only provided nutrients but also is used as medicine in Ayurveda.

She graduated with BS (Chemistry) and post-graduate Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics. She is also a Registered Dietitian.

After moving to the USA in 2004, she continued with her passion and graduated with BS in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Texas at Southwestern Medical center in Dallas and a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. Her quest of ongoing and deeper learning led her to certifying in Integrative and Functional Nutrition through next level functional nutrition and become a certified LEAP therapist.

Zarana’s professional experience spans over 20 years, working with a young infant of 6 months old at the Children’s medical center to a young at heart 90 years old at a nursing home and in-between.

She has worked with people from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds, learning along the way how and what food plays central role in people’s lives around the world.

Zarana is very passionate about helping people eat better and live a healthy lifestyle that increases their vitality and prevent onset of diseases.

She translates comprehensive science of nutrition into simple and practical advice for her clients. She believes that food should be nutritious as well as delicious to create lasting results.

At home Zarana is happily married and blessed with 2 kids. As a family they lead a healthy and active lifestyle and loves to experiment with different ethnic foods creating their own nutritious & delicious recipes.
